This tactical fixed blade comes from the CRKT Forged by War program, featuring knives designed by war veterans. The Rakkasan is the brainchild of Austin McGlaun of the 187th infantry, the first paratroopers in WWII to drop into Japan. Fittingly, Rakkasan means “men falling from the sky with umbrellas”. The blade is SK5 carbon steel with a covert black powder finish and a recurved clip point blade. The full tang extends into an oversized handle with G10 scales, carved with beveled grooves for a quick draw and solid grip. The knife comes with a glass-reinforced nylon sheath and a length of paracord for easy attachment to belts, bags, and other gear.
